God has created every single one of us. But we can't pin on God every instinct and preference we experience.

Talking Points:

  • We’ve all been born a bit wrong, which means we can’t trust our feelings and instincts about ourselves. Sin has distorted our view. Romans 6:6-7
  • Jesus taught that we need to say “no” to our distorted self and become the real self that God created us to be. It means denying ourselves to follow him which actually helps us to be more the person God created us to be. John 3:3, Matthew 16:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • When the Bible says we were created “male and female,” it is talking about a binary characteristic and not a blend. God himself is above gender but he came up with the ideas that define masculinity and femininity.
