Idols are cheap imitations of God that can have great damage and destruction in our lives if we don’t deal with them. God teaches us how to identify the idols in our lives, and how to replace them with something so much better.

The Bible says that it is important to please God with our lives. God made us, he loves us, and he sent his son to die for us. All of this should make us want to please him. Well, there is something important you need to know about pleasing God.

Everyone sins. Sin is anytime you trust in your own ideas or opinions above what God says. Basically, when you disobey God, you are sinning. Every lie, lust, and evil thought is a sin. But God teaches us how to handle the sin in our lives.

You’ve probably noticed that people sing at church a lot. On a Sunday, your church might sing between four and six songs. Your youth group might even sing a bunch of songs when you get everyone together. That’s a lot of singing. Let’s understand why we sing at church.

In the final chapters of Esther, we see how God has been at work in this story all along. We witness God accomplish a major victory for his people, but he never performs a miracle. And we learn in these chapters how God works in our lives too.
