The Bible is our instruction manual for life so we should read it and apply it to our lives!

Talking Points:

  • We should memorize the Bible because it’s full of God’s truth. If we know God’s opinion, then we can measure that against what we hear on social media and from our friends. 2 Timothy 3:16
  • If you want to memorize key verses, do these five things:
    • #1 Write it down. Seeing it over and over will help to etch it into your brain.
    • #2 Listen to it. Repeat it over and over again throughout the day.
    • #3 Act it out. Apply hand signals or other motions that help you recall the words in the verse.
    • #4 Use music. Create a beat or a song as you repeat the verse.
    • #5 First letter technique. Write out the first letter for each word in the verse and then go back and see if you can recite it based on the letters.
