Parents must personally commit to these three principles, modeling for their children a genuine pursuit of God.

Key Points:

  •  A full circle follower of God has done the following:
    • Trusted in Jesus for salvation
    • Living to honor God by following what the Bible says.
    • Helping others to pursue God
  • Parents, make sure to bring your kids full circle so they can go and help someone else to go full circle.

Quote This:

Matthew 28:18-19 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Talk About It
  1. What is your initial reaction to this topic? What jumped out at you?
  2. In your own words, describe what it means to go “full circle” as a Christian.
  3. Where do you stand in your pursuit of God right now? If you haven’t yet gone full circle, what is holding you back?
  4. Read Romans 3:22. How will trusting Jesus help your kids to make it through trials in this life? If they didn’t learn to trust Jesus, where would they put their trust?
  5. Read 1 Corinthians 5:17. What do you think it means to be made like a new person in Christ? What does it look like to “honor God” these days? How will having an honor code help your kids through life? Are you willing to live according to this code?
  6. Read Matthew 28:18-19. Describe a time when you grew or learned because you tried to help someone else. How does this principle apply to the spiritual growth of your kids? Do you believe that they could someday mentor someone in the faith? Why or why not?
  7. Write a personal action step based on this conversation.
