When money is tight, we tend to worry and wonder why God isn't helping us. Perhaps God is using your money troubles to teach you some important lessons?

Talking Points:

  • Check your priorities. Are you truly keeping God first in your life? He may be bringing trials in your life to force you to refocus. Haggai 1:4-6
  • Assess the things you can control. We should always trust God with our provision, but faith without works is dead. We must be willing to work hard to find extra sources of income if necessary while continuing to trust God with our every need. Proverbs 14:23; 27:23-24; 1 Timothy 6:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:11
  • Stop worrying and trust God. Worry adds tension to our relationships and hinders us from enjoying life. Worry leads to more worry, stress, and frustration.
  • Accept your financial difficulty as a tool God is using to develop your faith. James 1:3; 1 Peter 4:12.
