The whole Bible boils down to love.

In today’s lesson, we’re learning about a time when the Pharisees tried to stump Jesus with a tough question. Remember, the Pharisees were the religious leaders who knew God’s law really well. But they only cared about the rules and they didn’t really care about people. They were judgmental and mean. One day, the Pharisees decided to trick Jesus by asking him a hard question. They asked him what the most important rule was of all the rules God had given them. Remember the 10 Commandments? Those were all super important rules like not lying or stealing and keeping the day of rest. Would Jesus say one of those? Nope! Jesus was too smart for the Pharisees. Instead of choosing one rule he summed up every rule with this simple command: Love God and love people. It’s pretty simple! Jesus said the most important commandment is to love God with all your heart and to love people the way you want to be loved!
