Labels can be dangerous and hurtful so be careful how you use them.

Talking Points:

  • Teens like to label others as the athlete, goodie goodie, or class clown. But there is always more to a person than just one thing.
  • Sometimes one bad decision can bring about a label that won’t go away. That breeds insecurity and a false belief that we aren’t worthy. Philippians 3:13-14
  • God has something to say about us. He created each person with unique gifts and abilities and he is the one that gives us value. Psalm 139:13-16
  • Be careful not to be judgmental towards others. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Matthew 7:12
