Jesus is God so he must have been the most handsome man when he walked the earth, right?

Talking Points:

  • Throughout history, people have created visual expressions of Jesus as a good-looking, strapping man. But it’s likely that Jesus was very average looking and maybe even unattractive. Isaiah 53:2-3
  • The Gospel writers don’t speak about Jesus’ appearance. Their descriptions of Jesus were all about his teachings and miracles.
  • Jesus’ message and lifestyle, not his physical appearance, is what made him attractive. The same goes for us as his followers. 1 Peter 3:3-4
