Sometimes Christians get the wrong idea about what it means to pursue God. We spend a lot of time thinking about faith issues such as Bible study and spiritual disciplines than the like. This stuff is great, but it is not ultimately all that God is after.

God wants your whole life
God never intended for there to be a separation between faith issues and life issues. God is interested in marriage and families and money and schooling and relationships. God doesn’t just want your Bible study time. He wants everything. He wants your faith to affect your life.

Satan wants you to compartmentalize
Satan loves it when you separate faith from life. He embraces your involvement in Bible studies and prayer meetings… as long as you don’t take it home and apply it. He has no problem with you learning Romans as long as you don’t learn how to love your neighbor. He wants you to have the form of religion but to deny its power in everyday life (2 Timothy 3).

2 Timothy 3:5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
