Memory Verse
1 Peter 1:3 (NIRV) Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth and a living hope. This hope is living because Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

Do you have ornaments on your Christmas tree? Which one is your favorite? Did you ever take the time to read the words on the fancy ones? Do it this Christmas, and you’ll probably find one with this word on it: HOPE.

Hope Is _______________ That Something Good Will Happen in the Future

What are some of the things you hope for? Answer these questions:

  • Who do you hope notices you at school this week?
  • What grade do you hope to get in your hardest class?
  • What snack do you hope your mom puts in your lunch box?
  • What do you hope you get for Christmas?

Have you ever thought about why “Hope” is such a popular Christmas word? It’s because Jesus came to the world to bring us hope. Not just hope for the little things in our lives, but hope for the most important thing- OUR FUTURE!
