Everyone struggles with fear, but we don't have to let fear control us.

Talking Points:

  • Even though many of us believe Jesus is the Lord and God of the universe, we, like the disciples, can be overcome with fear when life gets scary. Luke 8:22-25
  • When we react out of fear, we hand over control of our lives to it, and fear will take us places we never wanted to go. Proverbs 12:25
  • We can only overcome fear with faith. We must trust that Jesus is bigger than the storms of our lives and that his will is bigger and greater than we can imagine. We need to shift our focus from ourselves and our situations (storms) and instead shift them to God. Isaiah 41:10
