So you lead at church. But do you also have to give financially? What does the Bible say?

Talking Points:

  • Giving honors God. Christians should honor God, and giving clearly does that.
  • Giving should be regular. It shouldn’t just be hit or miss when there’s a special need in the church.
  • Giving should be proportionate. If you make a lot of money, you should be a bigger giver than the guy who doesn’t. Use the 10% tithe as a benchmark for your giving – but go beyond it as you grow.
  • Giving should be sacrificial. You should be willing to sacrifice in your giving, not just doing it when it’s convenient in your budget.
