Rejection comes from everywhere in our lives, and it can destroy your soul. How can you fight through it to overcome rejection?

Rejection is a part of life, but for Christians, rejection can often mean rejection of our faith. This can be difficult.

Rejection Is Not Uncommon

It could be from personal friends or strangers on the street. It could be based on your intelligence, your appearance, your personality, or many other things. One of the best ways to deal with rejection is to turn to the Bible.

Many People in the Bible Faced Rejection

The leper with a lifelong disease was rejected by society and made to physically live away from other people. The adulteress was brought out into the streets to be stoned to death by the “moral” society, rejected for her sin.

Listen to the words of Jesus and how he accepted them, restoring their relationship. God did not reject them as people had, and the same is true for you. He is constantly pursuing you and does not turn from you no matter your actions towards him.

Jesus Was Rejected by the Religious Elite of His Day

Matthew 27:46 shows that Jesus was rejected so that we could be accepted by God. God accepts us because of what Jesus did for us. The best way to recover from rejection is to remember what Jesus has done for you and that the creator of the universe has accepted you. There is no greater acceptance.

Our greatest acceptance comes from Jesus himself. No matter what reasons people reject us over, Jesus will not.

Matthew 28:20 And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
