What are the practical weapons Christians can use to fight against pornography? The primary question to answer has to do with power (Where can I get the strength to overcome porn?) not guilt (“How can I feel really bad about it?”). The ultimate driving factor for victory from porn is a greater belief and satisfaction in Jesus Christ.

Video Highlights:

  • It’s not enough to have knowledge about God; we need to have joy IN God. We have to truly believe that Christ is enough to satisfy us – and therefore not to look for satisfaction in porn. In comparison to Christ, porn is whack.
  • Once you deal with the root issue of where you find satisfaction, you’re ready for some practical steps.
    • Get accountability with someone who will tell you the truth in love (James 5:16). Try an internet monitor like covenanteyes.com.
    • Guard your heart against lust. Set up boundaries in your life to proactively protect yourself (Proverbs 25:28).
    • Stay busy. Don’t spend hours on the internet. Do positive, productive things that will switch your physical position (Philippians 4:8).
    • Remember that prayer is greater than porn.

Stop surrendering so easily to the enemy. This is a battlefield, and we need to fight violently against porn.
