There’s plenty that evangelical Christians debate when it comes to creation and evolution. But these four things are certain.

  • Creation came from nothing (Latin: “ex nihilo”). God existed on his own, with no need of matter, time, or space, and he created these things.
  • God created the angels and other kinds of heavenly beings as well as animals and man. Colossians 1:16
  • God created Adam and Eve in a special, personal way. Genesis 1:26
  • God created time but he is not bound by it. Psalm 90:2
