In this crazy world we live in, we will find ourselves facing many different trials and struggling with all kinds of emotions. Here are some helpful Bible verses for getting through it all.

In this crazy world we live in, we will find ourselves facing many different trials and struggling with many different emotions. During these times, Jesus offers us his abundant peace. We can look in the Bible at verses that speak to our hearts and show us what God says about our emotions and circumstances. Kelly Carolini and Olivia Nutt share their Go-To verses for different moments in their lives.

When you’re AFRAID: If you find yourself filled with fear, remember that God is in control. John 14:27 says “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I don’t give as the world gives. Don’t let your hearts be troubled and don’t be afraid.” We do not have to be troubled or afraid because of what the Lord offers us- His overwhelming peace.

For when you need the STRENGTH to keep fighting: Remember Psalm 112:7, which tells us “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” God is raising us to be strong, christian young women with His strength pushing us through any trial that we may face. This verse puts our perspective back to where it needs to be. We must look to God instead of setting our eyes on our circumstances.

If you find yourself FEELING GUILTY: A lot of times we get it into our minds that we are unforgivable. In these situations, look to 1 John 1:9 which says “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” God offers us His amazing grace and wants us to accept it just as long as we confess our sins.

For when you feel IMPATIENT: Luke 1:45 says “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” God is always faithful. Lift all situations up to Him, trusting Him and His plans for your life.

For when you are filled with DOUBTS: Look to James 1:5-8 which declares “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt because someone who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” If you are going to doubt God, you are going to bring trouble. God wants us to know that He is there for us and won’t let us down. Keep your eyes open and on God; He will come through for you!

When you are feeling INSECURE, or like you aren’t good enough: Look at Romans 5:8 which says “For God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Start seeing yourself through God’s eyes. You are His child, and He loves you profoundly.

If you are HURTING: Seek wisdom from Exodus 14:14 that declares “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” It is easy for us to want to fix and control everything in our lives, but all we need to do is to come to the Lord. He will do all the fighting for us. Be still and be held. Another great verse to seek out is in Hebrews chapter 6 verse 12 which says “The Lord is my helper, I won’t be afraid; who or what can get to me?” Our God is SO big! God is bigger than the trials that we face; There is nothing more powerful than our awesome God!

When we find ourselves facing hard times, struggling with our feelings, and lost in this crazy world, we can look to the Bible for words of wisdom. God is the ultimate comforter and is fighting our battles one step at a time. Hopefully you will come back to these verses when you are feeling any of the emotions listed above and feel peace and comfort from the words of God.
